Our school helps shape the first and lasting ideas children form about themselves, their religion, their culture, their country, and the world. We guide students with structure and meaning, while encouraging curiosity and a love of learning. This mission is crucial to the growth of Islam, because it helps raise students who understand their faith, live with purpose, and serve their communities with compassion.

The mission of Minaret Academy is to provide a unique and exemplary education in an Islamic environment. We instill a love of Islam and learning through a balanced and comprehensive curriculum that aims to educate the whole child. We strive to inspire our students to become responsible, honest, learned, and respectful future leaders.
At Minaret Academy, we do not treat academics and character as separate goals. We teach students to pursue excellence while also practicing respect, humility, and responsibility. We believe a strong education should shape both the mind and the heart.
Minaret Academy seeks to develop in each student a positive identity as an American Muslim who is prepared intellectually, socially, emotionally, spiritually, and physically to succeed in tomorrow’s world.
We want students to integrate academic skills, Qur’anic principles, and ethical behavior so they can make positive contributions to the global community. We also aim to develop balanced character in every student. That balance includes knowledge, confidence, compassion, and a commitment to the betterment of family, community, and humanity.

Our teachers build classrooms where students feel safe to participate, take academic risks, and learn from mistakes. Students develop confidence because they see themselves improving over time. They learn how to study, how to stay organized, and how to take responsibility for their work.
We also focus on skills that matter beyond school. Students learn how to communicate clearly, work through challenges, and stay consistent. These habits support success in every stage of life.
Arabic, Islamic Studies, and Qur’an are essential parts of the Minaret Academy experience. These subjects support students in building knowledge, faith, and identity.
Students learn Islamic principles and ethical behavior in a way that connects to daily life. They learn how to apply Qur’anic values in school, at home, and in the community. This education strengthens the student’s connection to Islam while also shaping strong character.
Minaret Academy believes Islamic education should feel meaningful, consistent, and practical. We want students to understand their faith deeply and live it with confidence.
“Minaret Academy is like a second home to me. All of my teachers were incredible, and they taught in a fun and enjoyable way. They were always ready to help in any way possible. My favorite memory was being principal for a day.”

“Before I attended Minaret, I wasn’t the best student. Minaret shaped me into a stronger student by improving my academics, time management, and work ethic. It also helped me grow in my Islamic identity every day, which made me a better citizen. During my time at Minaret, I made lifelong friends and formed strong bonds with my teachers.”

Minaret Academy educates the whole child. That means we support the student’s academic growth while also developing the student’s character, emotional intelligence, social development, and spiritual identity.
We teach students how to treat others with respect. We teach them how to lead with integrity. We teach them how to show patience and self-restraint, even when life feels stressful. We also teach students how to balance confidence with humility and kindness.
This approach creates students who do well academically, but also represent Islam with beauty through their behavior, choices, and interactions with others.

The school also provides morning extended care and afternoon extended care for Montessori students, as well as homework club for Grades 1 through 8.

Minaret Academy admissions is selective because we want to ensure every student receives the best possible experience. The administrative team considers the needs of the student as an individual and the school community as a whole.
To apply, families begin by scheduling a tour and completing the prospective form. After that, families complete the Gradelink application and submit the non-refundable fee, which includes the entrance exam for students entering Kindergarten through 8th grade.
The school then schedules an interview with the Principal and administers the entrance exam on the same day. Families submit academic and discipline records while waiting for the interview. Admission decisions are sent directly to parents once the exam has been reviewed.
Minaret Academy grows through the support of families and community donors. Donations help strengthen programs, support student resources, and fund school improvement projects.
